Jurassic Paintings!
These are finally up on the walls of the walkway at Poole hospital & they look fantastic!
If you want to see them, just park in the multi-storey & walk up towards the hospital through the walkway—a journey that will take you along the coast from Lyme to Poole.
There will soon be some notices explaining the project & each painting will be labelled with the title & artist’s name.
Thank-you so much for taking part in this project—it has really transformed this area & is causing a lot of comment already. It’s great to see people pause & enjoy the paintings on their way in & out of the hospital.
It’s really been worth the wait, & there will be an opening do in due course.
There are still a few paintings still to go up by the scanner suite, I’ll let you know when that’s done & when the opening will be.
Thanks again, Clare
Public Art Catalogue
Our radiotherapy art work is to be included in a national catalogue of public art. Each county is to have it’s own catalogue which will include images & details of all public art works (oil, acrylic & tempera). This is being done by the public catalogue foundation in partnership with the National gallery. We’ve already had one visit to have a look at the work, & they’ll be back with a photographer to record the paintings. I’ll let you all know when we are likely to see our work in print! Have a look at www.thepcf.org.uk for further details.

TRIPS!
Our last trip was toCardiff & what a fantastic time we had! Thank you John for finding all the best places to go, & Norma & Fay for all your organisation.
Before that it was Honfleur & Paris where we visited the Musee Maurice Denis & The Musee Maillol, saw the fabulous architecture of the Institute de Monde d’Arabe, visited the biggest painting in the world at the Musee d’Arte Moderne & so much more.
Previously we have been to Bruges, Amsterdam, Brussels and Glasgow.
Our next trip will be to the Hague where we’ll be visiting all the arty venues. Of course, as usual we’ll be enjoying the local ambience!
Please email Norma on info@pedas.org.uk for details.
