Born in Swindon, in 1952 I have always loved drawing and painting. When I moved to Dorset in the 60's, I loved to take my sketchbook out around the Purbecks and by the sea. I took various courses to develop my skills and became qualified in many subjects - illustration and fine art then onto Southampton for a Fine Arts degree course.

I love painting many subjects, in various mediums. My experience has developed over the years and I have been a tutor in Art for over 25 years. I also demonstrate for Art groups in the South of England and am a regular tutor on Cunard cruises.

The commercial work has always been exciting for me - Sunseeker and FJB hotels have many of my paintings; large canvases or smaller paintings are no problem. I often meet interior designers to discuss their paintings and will produce a small image to see ideas of colour and composition.

Always influenced by my surroundings, I work from sketches to develop ideas from seascapes or figurative work for my large colourful paintings or also producing some very interesting pieces with texture or an Abstract.

My paintings are collected worldwide; I regularly exhibit in the Dorset and have had work in the RI and at Bath as well as many exhibitions locally with PEDAS and Bournemouth Arts Club.
