Poole & East Dorset Art Society
Poole & East Dorset Art Society is a long established and very active local art society. We were founded in 1924 and count notable figures such as Augustus John and Henry Lamb amongst our past members.

PEDAS is an inclusive society and welcomes artists in all media genres - figurative and abstract painters, sculptors, felters, embroiderers, photographers and installation artists.
Thursday sessions
31st May:
Drawing the clothed figure with Geoff and Sally Furnell as models.

Please bring:
drawing equipment
several sheets of cartridge paper for quick poses
one good sized piece
(eg A3 for a long pose involving both models)

I am suggesting that if we have a mini exhibition at the end of the session as we generally do, we ask Sally and Geoff to choose the drawing they like best to take away.
Future Thursday sessions
Caroline's "Creative Sundays" are held at the Church of the Holy Angels Hall in Lilliput Rd, Poole BH14 8JX, usually on the 1st Sunday of the month. The Hall opens at 2pm to start at 2.30pm until 4.30pm with a tea break.

PEDAS manages this delightful gallery in Upton Country Park. It hosts a wide variety of exhibitions by groups and individuals.
Art UK is the online home for every public art collection across the UK. It already features over 200,000 oil paintings by some 38,000 artists. These artworks are in museums, universities, town halls, hospitals and other civic buildings across the United Kingdom. Most of this art is not on public view. Later in 2016 they will be expanding the project to include watercolours, pastels, drawings and prints uploaded by collections. In early 2017 they aim to add sculptures.
