My fascination with art and the human figure dates back to my school days, though I have come via a circuitous route to return to my first intentions of following an artistic career.

With a background in Participatory Arts, working with people across all ages and abilities, and a keen interest in the Autistic Spectrum, my belief that there is an artist in everybody; we just need to find the key. My intention is to bring from my old life an ability to support and facilitate others' work, and an innovative take on teaching.
I have remained in my home town of Bournemouth and completed my BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Arts University College, followed by my PGCE, as a mature student.

Though in early years my own work tended to lean almost exclusively towards figurative drawings and latterly into sculptures of the human form, I have also moved into more abstract work, creating fantasy landscapes, and into video work seeking to bring the differences in peoples' perceptions to acceptance and understanding.

Currently I run regular drop in Life Drawing classes in Bournemouth, suitable for all abilities but also open to those who just want to come and draw on their own alongside the class.

I also run one off sessions (classes, workshops and demos) in Rejuvenating Your Drawing and Life Drawing for a variety of groups including Art Societies, and the occasional all day session.
