While we are finding our feet, please don't arrive before 6.45. There is a large car park but please leave a few spaces for members of the community association who don't arrive till after 7. There is ample free parking in the road (Berkeley Avenue).
BMOYC = bring materials of your choice.
5th Sept: Seminar for Stewards followed by Summer work ‘show & tell’. Discussion to introduce members to the credit card reader and to reassure & answer questions about gallery stewarding, followed by a review of our summer work - so please bring in any paintings, sketches etc to show us.
12th Sept: Painting with Limited Palette. Tony Paul leads a painting session using a limited palette with focus on tone. Choice of two portrait models or landscape from own reference. The landscapers could work from their own references.
Those painting landscapes, please do NO preparatory work other than the initial linear drawing.
For the portrait group we limit the colours. The landscapers will be restricted to a maximum of 4 colours of their choice plus white. Oil or acrylic could be used.
PLEASE: if using oil, please bring a non- smelling solvent such as W&N Sansodor or D-R Low odour solvent eg jest-it, rather than turps or white spirit, to avoid risk to those who suffer from allergies to these. Table coverings.
19th Sept: SKETCHING IN POOLE MUSEUM
At 2 pm meet at the Museum foyer, where we will be met by Bryony James who has worked on the Henry Lamb exhibition project and has kindly offered to give us a brief introduction to the exhibition as well as mentioning a few highlights to look out for.
Bring sketchbook as you might wish to sketch artefacts as well as view the work of this founding member of PEDAS.

26th Sept: Shared still life with limited palette & focus on tone - building on Tony's limited palette approach. Bring in still-life items for shared still-life.
3rd Oct: Life drawing - Our model is Helen
10th Oct: Gelli plate printing - Teresa Fraser Nash leads a session on Gelli plate printing, details to follow.
17th Oct: People & Environment – Sketching on location at King Charles Pub, Poole Quay BH15 1 JN.
NB Do not meet at Alderney Manor.
24th Oct: Life Drawing -Trish Jubb leads a life drawing session, with life model, Tom. Warm up poses, an activity and a long pose. Please bring plenty of paper, ideally A3, and drawing materials.
31st Oct: Sculpture with Robin Bishop. Details to follow
7th Nov: Water-soluble pens & pencils. Session led by Alison C Board
