14th Nov: Drawing with economy of line. Take turns, face partner opposite and draw with clear line using no superfluous lines or shading!! We will look at examples. Drawing materials.. such as drawing board, pencil/pen
21st Nov: Russell Cotes, 3 exhibitions of interest. Note: no evening meeting at Alderney Manor Community Centre. Instead, at 1.30 meet at the Café Gallery, Russell Cotes Museum, on the East Cliff Promenade, just 2 minutes’ walk from Bournemouth Pier & 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre. Pressed: A Collection of Contemporary Prints - Exhibition of original prints by Poole Printmakers. This Cafe Gallery exhibition shows the range of styles and traditional print methods by artists from Poole Printmakers. Solar etching, lino print, collograph, screenprint, monoprint, mixed media finishes.
Romanticising Dorset - Paintings & Prints of Leslie Moffat Ward. Bournemouth-based painter and printmaker Leslie Moffat Ward (1888-1978) was a key figure in the Dorset art scene of the 1920s-70s. He was a regular exhibitor at the RA & an elected member of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers.
Sublime Symmetry - The Mathematics behind De Morgan’s Ceramic Designs. William De Morgan revolutionized ceramic design in the late-Victorian period. From his fantastical beasts which wrap themselves around his ceramic vases, to his fanciful flora which meander across tiles, his designs fascinated his contemporaries and continue to captivate today.
28th Nov: Poetry as Inspiration. Anne will read a poem, whilst we draw / paint our response, capturing the mood of the poem in whatever medium/style/degree of abstraction/realism we choose. BMOYC
5th Dec: Light on Dark. Helen Talbot returns by popular request. She will lead a session drawing/painting with light on dark. Info to follow.
?11/12th Dec: Christmas Celebrations & Making Decorations. As our usual venue will be used as a Polling Station, we plan to meet elsewhere, see website nearer the time for up to date info. Norma will bring in 2 bags of scrapstore materials plus we may need wire. More info to follow.

2nd Jan: Wild weather. Breeze into the New Year using your imagination. With charcoal, paint or pastel, depict extreme weather. BMOYC
