He will also explain how to make a suitably toothy ground for charcoal/pastel. There will be a clothed model. Please bring in the following:
Charcoal of different types & thicknesses, lining paper, putty rubber, drawing board, masking tape or similar to attach paper to board.
30th Jan: Life Drawing. Untutored, with Sam as our model. BMOYC or use this as an opportunity to consolidate your drawing with charcoal.

13th Feb: Making a bird with decorated finish. Session led by Diana Girdwood. Making a bird in this manner is a long process but Diana will show us the method. And we can all go home with a bird which could be worked on at home to achieve a decorative finish.
20th Feb: Please note that the Quiz Night at King Charles has been deferred to a later date... (pub's double booking error). Instead we will be meeting up at The Arcado Lounge, 71 High Street, Christchurch BH23 1AS. Meet at 1.30 pm to either sketch the view through the windows or venture out and draw either Christchurch’s architecture, the Priory, nearby riverside walks or go to the Red House Museum. Return to the Arcado Lounge to see each other's drawings. https://thelounges.co.uk/arcado/
27th Feb: Still life in the style of Picasso or Braque. Bring along one or two still life objects. Select parts of these objects & their negative shapes to draw from different angles on tracing or layout paper, or ordinary paper, so you can cut up and reassemble the shapes to create an interesting whole.
