5th January - Project: 'Creative Perspectives' with Helen Talbot.
Helen's project will lead to our spring exhibition entitled 'Creative Perspectives'. She will consolidate ideas begun already on the topic of composition and perspective, exploring, through quick sketching, various ways to interpret images for further development. Use soluble and non soluble drawing media, and watercolours. Visual resources will be provided. |
2nd February - Foraged, recycled and natural materials with Valerie Willets
Valerie will lead a session using foraged, recycled and natural materials for mixed media art. We'll recycle old paintings, make brushes and other mark making tools from natural materials to use to create new works of art. For examples see the work of Frances Hatch. Materials to bring: Unwanted old paintings and drawings on paper. Mountboard offcuts or other scraps of card Tissue paper Inks - Dayler Rowney acrylic ink in black and red earth or sepia. Plus any other colours you already have. Watercolour paints and/or acrylic paints Masking tape Prit stick or similar glue Graphite stick, graphite pencil, white chalk and charcoal sticks Scissors water jar and small pots for inks Table cover Natural materials: Dried grasses, plant stems, small twigs, feathers and dried leaves Enjoy foraging for these. |
