1st Sept: Egg Tempera
See how Tony makes the egg tempera paint from raw ingredients and learn about the various techniques that can be used with this ancient, but beautiful medium. He will also talk about how he makes the traditional gesso panels on which the paintings are painted, his preferred pigments and why he uses egg tempera as his preferred medium.

6th Oct: Gardens in pastel
Judy Tate works mainly in pastel and exhibits widely. Recently Judy has exhibited in both the Pastel Society and Society of Women Artists Exhibitions in the Mall Galleries in London. The topic will be 'Gardens' and Judy will take us through her process using soft pastels.
3rd Nov: Concertina sketchbook
Make a small concertina sketchbook with marbled cover; Penny Wilton will lead a session showing us how. Please bring:
Marbling inks if you have them, or £1 to Penny please if you want to have some of hers.
Bring all of these things listed here:
A baking tray or shallow dish to put the water in for marbling, about A4 size. Also a plastic jug is useful to pour the water in.
6 – 8 sheets of copy paper or cartridge paper.
A small sharp kitchen knife not serrated for cutting the paper.
2 pieces of Grey board or mount board for the covers approx 7” x 5”.
A2 sheet of cartridge paper – leave whole – I will show you hoe to cut it.
Cutting craft knife or scapel.
PVA glue, brush and a small dish.
