20th November - DVD - “Coastal adventures in acrylic” with Adebanji Alade.
We will show the DVD, “Coastal adventures in acrylic” with Adebanji Alade, for about 45 minutes after which everyone can have a go using whatever medium they choose. The subject will be Southwold Pier. Adebanji is often on the BBC One show and paints in a loose and interesting style so it should give everyone some ideas to try out. BMOYC. Adebanji is the president of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. |
27th November - Focus on boats with Pam Marshall. Pam will be showing us her approach to painting boats. Please bring materials of your choice, but soft pencil and drawing paper will be enough. There will be a YouTube film after which Pam will hand out photos to help people practice drawing boats from various angles. |
4th December - Printing, mono and lino
11th December - Soft Pastel Landscapes with Pam Philip.
Pam will demonstrate painting a landscape in soft pastels and answer questions. Pam is primarily a plein-air artist and her main inspiration is drawn from the countryside around her home in Dorset. She also travels abroad to paint, and has enjoyed holidays for the past ten years in India. As her childhood was spent in India, she is very comfortable setting up her easel and painting in the most glorious surroundings. She spent three months in Australia and was inspired by the strong light and the vibrant colours of the landscape. Bring in your pastels and pastel paper. |
