The Gallery Upstairs, Upton Country Park Open 2023
An exhibition of selected work hosted by Poole and East Dorset Art Society (PEDAS)
1st December to 20th December 2023
We invite artists in any visual art medium (except photography or video), living within a 15 mile radius of Poole, to create new and original work for this year's Open.
The theme this year is "Atmosphere".

Selection
The Selector this year will be Helen Talbot.
Helen is a professional artist working in most drawing and painting media, printmaking and stitched textiles. Helen gained her master’s degree in art, design and media from the University of Portsmouth and is a fully qualified teacher in post compulsory education and training. Early in her career Helen was a product demonstrator for Rexel Derwent, Daler Rowney and Winsor & Newton.
Her work has been exhibited in open exhibitions including Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, The Mall Galleries, London and many others
All artists will be notified by email, text or phone, whether or not they have been successful

Entry fees: £5 for each submission in 2D or 3D;
Commission on sales: 20%

Prizes
Cash prizes totalling £300 will be awarded at the discretion of the Selector.
Exhibition Launch/Private View Saturday 4th December, 11:00 am to 13:00 pm. (Prize giving at 12:00 noon)
