PEDAS (Poole & East Dorset Art Society) manages the Gallery Upstairs on behalf of the community.

New PEDAS Sessions - Wednesday afternoon meetings

​From Jan 12th 2022, PEDAS weekly sessions will be held on a Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Alderney Manor Community Centre, Herbert Ave.
Accurate at time of writing, always check website for changes.
                                                        
12 January - Penny Wilton, Painting with a limited palette. 
See the range of tones and depth in painting that can be achieved with a limited palette.  Penny will bring photos for reference or you can bring your own - it needs to be something in grey tones, a misty landscape or a still life or portrait in black and white. The medium can be acrylic or watercolour; you will need a scrap of paper to try out tones, & a larger piece of paper for painting on, tissue for cleaning brushes, maybe masking fluid for watercolours, brushes, water pots etc.  For acrylic or watercolour you can use same colours: ultramarine, burnt sienna, and white if using acrylic. 

19 January – John Biggs introduces “In My Life" our theme for Dorset Arts Week 2022, followed by a talk on using Instagram by Steph Jones.

26 January - Barry Kavanagh painting demonstration, info to follow
