“Eclectic” is rather an overused word when it comes to describing exhibitions, but having looked up the definition “deriving ideas, style or taste from a broad range of sources,” it seems to be the perfect word for describing “Art in to View”, our latest exhibition at The Gallery Upstairs.
On display were bold oil paintings, gentle water colours, charmingly innocent depictions of nature, precise prints, the striking use of shading in pen, impressive collage, a perfect demonstration of that difficult medium oil pastel, poured paint, beautiful pencil work, and some welcome abstract work. Subjects covered land and seascapes, boats and trains, architecture, gardens, flowers, foxes, hens and horses, runners and even breakfast. So if you haven't yet seen "Art in to View" at The Gallery Upstairs these are the last few days to come and enjoy the latest work by PEDAS artists. Open every day, finishes Monday.
