Looking Forward

​Looking Forward to the Rest of our Centenary Year- 
It is difficult to believe we are almost in September! What a PEDAS year it has been so far.
Most recently, our Lighthouse Exhibition was a great success and our thanks must go to John Biggs and his team for the time and effort put into organizing, liaising, procuring, collating, collecting for an exhibition of wonderful works of art that represented PEDAS over the years so well. The year is not over yet. This is a brief bulletin to let you know what is happening over the next few months.

​Aspiring Artists 18th – 20th October
Leading up to the October half term, and as our Centenary year draws to a close, we will take the opportunity to look forward to and celebrate the next generation of artists. We have been working with 2 schools in Poole and will be exhibiting some of their artwork in the GATHER centre in the Dolphin Shopping Centre. We are calling this ‘Aspiring Artists’. We hope that some of these young artists will join us in the centre over these 3 days. In addition, as we have so successfully done before, we will be running workshops and hands-on arts and crafts activities particularly for children, alongside the exhibition. 

PEDAS 100: Unleashed 18th October – 4th November
Details of our Autumn exhibition with this title will be publicised soon. With an open title like this, all our members should have something to exhibit. 

PEDAS Plein Air Programme continues right through to the end of September.

​Sunday afternoon sessions
Our Sunday sessions continue on the first Sunday of the month. On Sunday 1 September 2024 - we have Sarah Humby 'Creating something out of nothing: Folded Books'. Details of all forthcoming Sunday sessions can be viewed here:

Wednesday Afternoon Programme
This resumes on 11th September with a review of work done through the Summer.
